NAME: Ivan Kryukov
(spouse: Helen. Children: Mark& Elisha Mila&Elia)
My testimony:
In 1990 a young man Ivan Kryukov came to a church. At that time he didn’t have any hopes for a bright future. Having brought up in a family with many children he was a hooligan and a pupil of a poor progress. He lived a dull life. He could have ended his life in a prison, as his teacher once told him. But God touched his heart, completely changed his life and filled it with His light. It was then that he got a great desire to serve God.
In 1991 Ivan saw an advertisement of a “Bible College” in Estonia. He barely had enough money for a one way ticket but there was a great hunger for God in his heart. So he went to Estonia not knowing the address and having no friends there.
Having graduated from this College Ivan came to Almaty to his home church where missionary movement has only started its developing. In 1992 he moved to Celinograd (today’s capital Astana). He stayed in Celinograd for two years raising local churches. “I was only 17 when I starter working in Astana” recalling Ivan – “it was there that I met my wife. They say “every great man is followed by a greater woman”. And I can firmly say that my wife is far more wonderful and greater than I. We have two sons: Mark and Elisha”. As well as two daughters Mila and Elia and two grandchildren already
In 1993 our missionary ministry started gathering pace. We sent 25 missionaries to 11 cities of Kazakhstan. In 1994 “New Life” Central Asian Mission was founded.
“New Life” mission does a great work in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. As a result they’ve raised a great army of pastors, missionaries and evangelists ministering in Central Asia bringing God’s light, truth and freedom. For today we have more than 200 missionaries serving in about 100
churches and mission stations. Missionaries from “New Life” church serve in cities and villages of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, and Turkey. We are planning to start working in Iran and Georgia as well.
Ivan and Helen were pastors in 7 different cities of Kazakhstan. At the moment, pastors in the city of Almaty are in the base church of about 1000 people.
Ivan is also the coordinator of the Central Asian Missionary Association, which conducts its work in 8 countries of the region Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Kazakhstan.
For today our ministry - is to send new missionaries to the places where there are no local churches and to the restricted access countries. The only goal of the missionary ministry is to spread the gospel fulfilling a great commission of Christ “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations...teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you”
So the main strategic vision of the “New Life” Central Asians Mission e is to open 1000 new churches in Central Asia, East and Russia and other countries.
Our nearest plans are:
to facilitate the work of new missionaries and ministers construction of a new building for the “New Life” Mission Holding Bible seminars in local churches all over the Kazakhstan.“
